ITubeP - Youtube analog in I2P network.

Copied from that other site, I’m not the person behind this. Recently I was thinking about what I’m doing on internet. And I found out that all of my internet activity is basically just watching videos on youtube. So I thought “Why there isn’t anonymous, private and free (as in freedom) youtube-like site on I2P?” and decided to do it myself. First eepsite of this project: http://itubep.i2p More you can read on project’s github page: github.com/i2ptuber/itubep Warning! Work heavily in progress. Warning!!! Code is 100% AI slop, because I’m poor programmer.

https://www.iroh.computer/blog/tor-custom-transport >Use iroh with Tor for anonymous connections This is an interesting development. I don't want to choose between Tor and I2P, so a higher level p2p networking library that can use both networks simultaneously sounds like a great solution. @n0iroh@mastodon.social Do you plan to implement #I2P custom transport? Or perhaps you know someone who is working on it?

@perlman@indieweb.social Ok, to show I am not just talking either, here is a #reticulum protocol analysis with focus on #privacy Including comparison to other projects. The TLDR is: #RNS is reasonably good hiding identity from services, but leaks metadata on network level. https://codeberg.org/MarSik/reticulum-audit/src/branch/main/reticulum-source-privacy-flaw.md I tried to back up all my claims and reasoning with links and sources. But feel free to call me out on any inaccuracy as the final text is rather long and I might have missed something. #tor #i2p can check me too.

@_elena@mastodon.social @stereo@freiburg.social Really impressive distance! #meshcore clearly the best for #offgrid group chats. I'm currently on another project still fiddling with #reticulumnetwork settings for a #LoRa bridge into the Internet or #i2p So far I think for beginners on Android #columba is the easiest for 1:1 chatting https://github.com/torlando-tech/columba On desktop https://meshchatx.com/ which can show #nomadnet pages too, e.g. IRC style group chats And there is a first map showing #RNode https://rmap.world/

@gwynnion@mastodon.social Using IRC over i2p or Tor is how this ends. Start learning how to use IRC now, so that you can use it over Tor later. TheLounge or Convos are easy ways to start #irc #i2p #tor
