#Today 04 pt2 Good day! Our air continuing to clear, I went on a short hike this morning, the air cool with an autumn crispness to it. Color has begun to invade the forest. I rescued this wolf lichen in the middle of the trail. In exchange, it took my picture. Not sure how it does that. Stunning views on today’s hike on the Isle of Purbeck. Circular peninsula walk from Studland South Beach NT car park, taking in Old Harry’s Rocks. A touch of mad dogs and [Welsh]men and midday sun perhaps but a lovely pub at the end. It was worth it… #GetOutside #hiking #CostaDelDorset

This weekend I took a trip up to the top of Baker Lake, in the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington, fed by snow and glacier melt of one of our 4 active volcanoes, Kulshan or Mt Baker (just look at the color of that water!) It's a fantastic time to hike along the river and lakeshore, the trees haven't fully leafed out and there's a lot of life happening on the forest floor.
