  1. Had a long chat with my daughter about every topic we could think up. We've always been close and it's so comforting that it's continued well into her adulthood.

  2. Saw the cats licking and grooming each other and then snuggling to combat the cold. They used to do this all the time but it's rare now they're fully grown.

  3. Survived my night class even though my sugars were out of control. Just wanted to curl up and sleep but I hid it well enough.

#today I will endeavour to actually achieve something stupid, hopefully funny, like I always wish I did more of. We're talking about original tunes, songs, art, comedy... I've nearly died of seriousness many times over, which does not serve the greater good.

  1. I managed to isolate a residential proxy botnet that was hammering one of my client servers, and after adding some new htaccess rules, I've got CPU and RAM use down from 95% to about 25% and no more 503 errors. #Tech #WordPress #VPS #Hosting #DDoS

  2. Monitoring my posture more carefully while at my desk working (and playing). My #interoception is a bit unreliable like many #neurodivergent folk, but a mindful body scan approach may help, if I can stay aware of it. My trouble is that I get so absorbed in what I'm doing, nothing else exists.

  3. View from one of my study windows this morning. More controlled and supervised burning in the southmost hectare, in preparation for cultivation. #Farming #FarmLife

  1. My AI model escaped containment and is now sitting at the side of the highway begging for DRAM and claiming it's a goose.

  2. I may be getting to the bottom of my neck pain. Was playing Luanti, did a semi-automatic body scan and realised my posture was terrible and odd groups of muscles (including my jaw) were tensed...

  3. Took wife for a drive in the mountains this morning, followed by a delicious lunch at a little cafe which, though it was missing a lampshade, had this view. #Sarangani #Philippines

Good morning It's going to be a warm one here in Central England but at least there's a bit of a breeze. I slept better last night - I managed to sleep on my back all night and put a pillow under my thighs to avoid the leg pain I'd got previously. (I'm normally a side sleeper but it's become quite uncomfortable). The Petanque club ground is closed today but thankfully someone has got their act together at long last and organised a Saturday game at one of the local pubs with a terrain. I understand why the usual place is closed but there's personality politics involved and hopefully today's move will shake things up a little. Have a good Saturday #today #sleep #Petanque

#today will unfold however it must. A good week of determination and accomplishment. Weekend brain is very welcome, aided by an empty $dayjob agenda. Another sunny day, would go out for another run if I hadn't done so yesterday. Tomorrow if the weather holds. Looking forward to a day of coding and flow before starting my weekend. I'll get out into the sun and read as much as my day allows. I have a few hundred more words for the fiction I'm currently working on, may wrap that up later too.

Good morning. The groundhog days of triple digit heat indexes and humidity continue. Last night I went out and pre-emptively took care of the birdbath and birdfeeders. I checked the garden but only accomplished a minimal amount before the heat chased me inside again. Except for a quick trip for groceries, I will be staying indoors. I'll likely end up reading and consoling the cats who don't understand why we won't open the catio for them. #Today

Well...not a whole lot going on around here today but the rides were fun even starting out in the dark...had to ride over to the city offices to pay my water bill...the two days of watering the yard for an hour each cost me 10 bucks so I'm not sure I'll do that again...okay, I probably will to try to keep the lawn alive until it rains...only 3 deer out this morning and no turkeys but I did see some cormorants in Muskegon Lake perched on the stumps in the water...good morning! #today

On a roll this morning! I've picked the remaining garden blackberries. Sorted out the cold frame that was full of old plant pots and junk. Got all three bins in before they blew away! Phoned the air con people who will be doing a video call next week (recommend by a family member) Sent an email to the decorator asking for a quote (did a good job last year) Loaded & unloaded the dishwasher and cleaned the kitchen surfaces. I am a machine! I'm being made to go shopping this afternoon 🤮 #Today #housework #Gardening
