Censorship and the Role of Librarians in the Fight for Democracy Last month, U.S. librarian Amanda Jones delivered a keynote to the Libraries Connected annual symposium in the U.K., where she spoke about the importance of defending the freedom to read. "When we allow political groups to pull books that feature marginalized characters, we are not just removing ink and paper.
