Ai ettien että, kun tuo Excelin pelaaminen on aina yhtä sujuvaa ja helppoa. /s Ihan olis sellanen ”yksinkertanen” homma, jossa taulukosta pitäis toisessa sarakkeessa olevan tiedon avulla laskea toisen sarakkeen yksilölliset arvot. Parin tunnin jälkeen en koe olevani yhtään lähempänä oikeaa funktiota, mutta ehkä se vois olla XHAKU… #excel #microsoft

KI sprich AI-Slop Code werden die neuen Excel Dateien sein, die versprechen den totalen Überblick der Daten zu haben aber die Anwender*innen haben keine Ahnung was sie nun klicken. Today Microsoft #Excel differences on Windows to macOS (missing menus just ribbon) got me thinking: can I not just run a #SpreadSheet in the #Linux #terminal for basic data work and visualisation? I want something akin to the original text only #Lotus123 (which I used for school work on DOS), but ideally with in-terminal graphics for #DataViz. There is https://github.com/andmarti1424/sc-im (must self compile, not trivial), several apparently abandoned tools like https://www.syntax-k.de/projekte/teapot/ - and multiple vibe-coded rust tools I'd rather avoid... Suggestions please?

This could be really helpful for analyzing large workbooks with a lot of unstructured data. You can imagine a dataset that has a column for "Description" and #Copilot being able to automatically tag or label each item. #Excel https://deltapulse.app/item/MC1430543

In #Excel the "More Actions" button under Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options > Actions just takes you to the Microsoft 365 landing page on support.microsoft.com. Pretty sure that's not the intended behavior.

My mom asked me for help with #Microsoft #Excel on her work computer. I don't know which version it was, beyond being an actual program and having these damn ribbons. She wanted to make all the rows on a spreadsheet taller. I did the obvious thing: selected all the cells, dragged at some random row header edge and resized it. To my surprise, this affected only one row. I tried again, same result. WTF?! I mean, I haven't seen Excel for years, but why would they break that?! So I started digging through these damn ribbons, properties, trying to find some row height setting. Nothing. I was close to giving up, but I've tried again: selected everything, dragged… and this time it worked and affected all rows. So much for predictable software.
