Drat, OSM has blocked my server for (too much tile usage). All public safety alerts. Anyone have an OSM tile server they don't mind me hitting for images? I guess too many wildfire evacuations and tornado warning and whatnot all in the last week. (I do *not* want to have to set up a tile server myself). Before #2022, the engineers at #Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZPNN) — the largest in #europe — weren't revving up for an #invasion . They knew what to do without #electricity and were prepped for natural #disasters but a full-on occupation of their plant? Not something they’d prepared for.

The concept of a #bugoutbag is a very common and popular one, when thinking about #survival and #preparedness, the first thing you should do is assess actual #risks. The likelihood of facing an actual #evacuation scenario is infinitesimal for anyone who doesn't live in a place with frequent natural #disasters and very small for those who do. Growing up on the East Coast, hurricane evacuations aren't unheard of. Once, while I was at college in PGH, there was a train derailment/chemical spill.

Salt Lake Tribune: Beaver installed flood cameras after the wildfire. Four days later, the flood came. Company releases a "survey" of unscientific method and someone needs an interesting article, and there you go, promotion for real estate company) Anyway: "I'm worried about natural disasters, I THINK I WILL MOVE TO FLORIDA OR CALIFORNIA OR TEXAS" From the article: "Concern about "natural disasters or climate risks in my previous area including heat, drought, flooding, fire, smoke or poor air quality" was cited by 21% of the respondents likely to move out of state in the next 12 months."
