📅 12. Hubzilla-Workshop – Kalender, CalDAV & CardDAV Am Mittwoch, 30. September 2026 um 19:30 Uhr geht es weiter mit unserem nächsten Hubzilla-Workshop. Diesmal schauen wir uns ein Thema an, das im Alltag richtig praktisch werden kann: 👉 Kalender / CalDAV und CardDAV Hubzilla kann nämlich deutlich mehr als Beiträge schreiben, kommentieren und Inhalte föderieren. Auch Kalender und Kontakte lassen sich verwalten und mit anderen Geräten oder Anwendungen synchronisieren. Doch wie funktioniert das eigentlich genau? 🔹 Wie nutze ich den Kalender in Hubzilla? 🔹 Was ist CalDAV und wie richte ich es ein? 🔹 Wie funktioniert CardDAV für Kontakte? 🔹 Kann ich Kalender und Kontakte mit Smartphone oder Computer synchronisieren? 🔹 Und wo liegen vielleicht Stolperfallen bei der Einrichtung? Genau das wollen wir uns gemeinsam anschauen und natürlich auch ausprobieren. Wie immer gilt: Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich. 😊 Egal, ob du Hubzilla bereits nutzt, gerade erst entdeckst oder einfach neugierig bist, was damit alles möglich ist – du bist herzlich willkommen. Und natürlich bleibt auch wieder genügend Raum für Fragen rund um Hubzilla, Erfahrungsaustausch und vielleicht auch die eine oder andere kleine Abschweifung. 😉 Auch erfahrene Hubzilla-Nutzer und Admins sind ausdrücklich willkommen. Any #android #foss calendar recommendations that go with #caldav? I'm syncing from #Nextcloud and my main requirement for the android app is to handle timezones correctly. Currently using #fossify but I don't see any option for timezones... I would like to choose the timezone when setting up an event and also view the calendar from a chosen timezone. Basically the same features that I can use in Nextcloud on the web-browser. Any recommendations?

We are making continued progress towards #GTG 0.7. In recent weeks, we have merged many PRs and a bunch of bugs have been fixed, in the 0.6 to 0.7 format importer and the #CalDAV tasks synchronization feature. Now is a great time to checkout the latest git version at https://github.com/getting-things-gnome/gtg and run "./launch.sh" (or use the #GNOME "Builder" app!) to help us find any remaining issues. When testing the CalDAV feature, make sure to do a backup first… but it should work much better than before 🤞

It's so sad. With CalDAV we have a really nice open protocol for syncing events, todos and notes. The protocol, which is technically more of a file format (iCalendar) even supports quite complex reccurence rules and even things like recurring tasks.
