@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org Well, those are the natural consequences of rallying up the wood folk against #Ai Good art is now sometimes called out as "Ai" by non artist (And this irks me to no end) You make a longish, coherent post and it gets called "Chatgpt" by folk who struggle to put two sentences together. This is why we prefer the justice system and not vigilantism... ...this is why we NEED #regulateAi vs Pitchfork mobbing on socials. #llm #attribution #ailaw #regulation #vigilanties

Climate forcing: some activities force the climate. The missing words in the climate conversation are not human-caused or climate change, but forcing and attribution to fossil fuels, mining, bovine husbandry, tree plantations, etc. In the same vein, here is an article by Hayley Fowler and Ed Hawkins: https://theconversation.com/was-this-heatwave-caused-by-climate-change-were-asking-the-wrong-question-288637 #attribution #climateForcing #climateChange #fossilFuels

Land and marine heatwaves, droughts, fires, floods, landslides, sea-level rise, super-charged typhoons, weather whiplash. Climate forcing is harmful, fossil energies cause it, we know who the biggest perpetrators are. "Systematic attribution of heatwaves to the emissions of carbon majors": https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-025-09450-9 #attribution #climateChange #climateForcing #oilAndGas

"Scientific techniques known as #climate #attribution can help us discern whether the rise in #SevereWeather events is due to global heating." https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/nov/18/how-do-we-know-that-the-climate-crisis-is-to-blame-for-extreme-weather

"Can #attribution studies be used to hold polluters to account? Yes. Such studies are increasingly being used as evidence of responsibility for #climate damage in landmark legal cases, such as Juliana v United States and Lluiya v RWE. Attribution science is also being used to inform negotiations over funding for the UN’s “loss and damage” fund, which would finance the rebuilding of communities after climate disasters." https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/nov/18/how-do-we-know-that-the-climate-crisis-is-to-blame-for-extreme-weather

"#Attribution scientists are no longer only analysing the #ExtremeWeather events themselves but also making the human cost tangible by estimating how much of the damage caused would have been avoided if fossil fuel burning had not heated the world." https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/nov/18/climate-crisis-to-blame-for-dozens-of-impossible-heatwaves-studies-reveal

#ClimateAttribution map "Across all these cases, 74% were made more likely or severe because of #ClimateChange. This includes multiple cases where scientists found that an extreme was virtually impossible without human influence on global temperatures." Another recent advance is “impact #attribution”, which quantifies the social, economic and/or ecological impacts arising from the influence of climate change on extreme weather." https://interactive.carbonbrief.org/attribution-studies/index.html

"Another opportunity created by climate #attribution science is the potential to quantify the *future* #ClimateDamage of proposed fossil fuel projects. Just as fossil fuel companies seek to avoid responsibility for #ClimateChange damages caused by historical emissions, companies also work to trivialise the future contributions of new coal, gas, and oil projects when seeking development approvals." https://reneweconomy.com.au/emissions-to-impact-how-climate-science-will-hold-fossil-fuel-companies-to-account/

@clophoto@pixelfed.social photos without crediting the photographer is disrespectfulwe are not in a disagreement, but sometimes there are just no valid, or trustworthy source to be found, so as Dane i take the middle way, mthe diplomatic, and update the info, if, when they are provided. And as I never claim to in any way own the image, you might rather think thank you, someone love my image. Nobody trying to steal anything https://kb.mypdns.org/articles/MR-A-7#attribution-ai-and-attributes

If anyone shares a link to my website on here, there will automatically be a smaller link to my account below the website link's preview (see the screenshot below for an example of this in action). If you would like this to happen when people share links to your website, there's a guide to how to activate this feature here: ➡️ https://fedi.tips/when-i-post-a-link-on-mastodon-why-is-there-a-more-from-link-at-the-bottom-of-the-link-preview-what-is-author-attribution This can also be used to show accounts of people who have written articles for your site. #FediTips #Mastodon #Attribution #AuthorAttribution
