There's a cargo bike library in Ann Arbor thanks to the Bicycle Alliance of Washtenaw and hosted at Human Electric Hybrids. A week's rental is $25 (e.g. a sizable deposit that's mostly returned). I checked out a Tern last summer and had a good time riding around town. #biketooter

This "Complete Guide to the iPod Shuffle" is very handy if your junk box includes an iPod Shuffle (First edition). I must have loaded this particular device with tunes from much later though

@hyc @lcamtuf One thing that the Rust rewrite of coreutils tried to do was to prove that it was making steady progress by the number of test cases originating from GNU coreutils that it could pass. I very much suspect that there's a whole host of race condition tests that made it into the test corpus late in the game. Test-driven rewrite has its limits. Note the uptick in failures at the very right edge of the graph, they are currently under 90% tests successful. #coreutils #uutils

Bike every park progress: 101/162 parks visited. That puts me 3 weeks ahead of last year's pace when I visited 142/162.

Weather cool but pleasant and sunny, a good day to be out.

Of note, Hansen Nature Area on the city's west side is up for renaming, due to a recognition that a racially restrictive covenant was added by the Hansen family to the property.

@lopta @jpoesen I've packed up a roll-up J-pole antenna in the past, stuck it into a saddle bag, then unrolled it and hung it from a hook on a nearby tree when operating. No ground plane needed. At least plausibly this works too if you have a suitable flagpole mount (fiberglass mast with a hook at the top).
