I'm not sure what they want to achieve, a group many call fascists in the middle of Bremen. Two or three at their stand, surrounded by barricades and a massive police presence. @jbenjamint@mastodon.scot IIRC you can't choose an option for certain cookies on the Guardian, all or nothing. I have also seen certain ZS papers which say "read for three with cookies and tracking", you approve and then, after the first paragraph of text you're forced to sign up and pay or leave.

@RickiTarr@beige.party I was raised by my Father with no outside help. Meals were varied and interesting, sometimes simple (spaghetti with grated cheddar and tomato sauce) sometimes somewhat more (roast lamb). Now and then I watched and cooked myself, fought to take cookery classes at school. Cook for myself and my visitors / partner every single day.

@TimWardCam@c.im It depends on how it is done. This was clearly with other actions, and an obvious comment on a slight delay outside of the driver's control. I have experienced it myself as a driver and, with all the stress involved with these sort of jobs, it is not pleasant.

@TimWardCam@c.im For the "customer". The drivers rarely have any control over what happens underway, so there's no need to insult them. Even my continual comments about delays, missed trains, which are frequent for a traveller like me, don't sink to insults of the staff.

Time to get out and about again, and today's destination is Wuppertal. The route goes from Bremen to Osnabrück, Essen, Wuppertal. The first problems are already cleared out of the way, where a quicker journey with more transfers is no longer available.

Here's hoping it goes well. The first coffee has been bought, a seat secured, and we're just waiting for the off.

The obligatory photograph of a railway station I had the honour of visiting, and spending time waiting for late trains at.

This is #Norddeich which is served by a single track line, and on the left is a parked InterCity train which, when the scheduled departure time came, slowly moved away from the parking track onto the main track, waited for another train from Norddeich Mole - one station to the end of the line - and then leisurely left, late.
