@FourT4@mastodonapp.uk Broken Hill to Sydney to Abu Dhabi to London to York to Darlington then back on the train to Newcastle. This had been quite a trip.

Such a pleasant train journey to York then a short convivial walk with friendly fellow travelers to the bus replacement service. Everyone has been so lovely and so much greenery.
I might be slightly delirious. I think it's been at least 40 hours since I left that nice comfy hotel bed in Sydney.

@andyc@mastodon.me.uk it's an ass-about journey to Cornwall. My little brother lives up that way so I'm heading up for the weekend to catch up with my nephew's and nieces. Next week Joe and I are driving down to Cornwall for Flora Day. We are taking part in the Hal An Tow this year!

Kings Cross ain't what it used to be. Coal Drop Yard and the Regent Canal tenements have replaced the anarchists, junkies, squatters and prostitutes in favour of corporate security goons protecting their rent seeking fascist overlords... AKA #gentrification #googleHQ

Just got into London at 7am. It was the usual 3 day marathon journey from Broken Hill.
Sleep is for the weak.
Kicking my heels at Kings Cross while I wait for my train to Newcastle

I wish articles like this had been more common when I was learning biology.

@davidnjoku@mastodon.world oh that is a terrible story. I don't remember any news reports about it
.. but I was 17 and pretty stupid back then.

Found these old snaps I took last year. I was walking the dog round the local wreckers yard. Best place for a car if you ask me.

@weirdestate I remember when they were built and have always coveted the idea of living in one. An unlikely dream.
