Does anyone know some tools to periodically backup data (from a NAS) easily to an S3 compatible storage? I looked at restic because the snapshot system seems interesting, but I don't know what's the most used

Fairphone 6+ incoming?

12GB in this economy? if the other specs are an upgrade from the 6, I dread the final price... (if the leak is true)

@Sorro@woof.tech you don't need to expose your ip, you can use playit.gg, it allows you to do what you need without port forwarding (it relays through their cloud)
the free tier doesn't allow custom domains and only has a few servers per region, but for smp with friends it should be enough ^^
let me know if you need help setting it up

I recently tried deleting some messages from Discord (out of 150k+ messages I sent in total, 20K were "eligible") using Discorch (discorch.org), but it's a real pain in the ass
Discord doesn't allow deletion requests for messages if they are in a server or grouped DMs you are still a part of (and private DMs don't count because they are "always accessible" on their terms)
For the messages you want to delete, you have to send a deletion request (GDPR if in EU), and that's where Discorch helps : it scans all the messages from the discord data package, puts the eligible one in a csv, and writes a pre-formatted request for you
And what's also neat is that the code runs locally, and is entirely open source and available on Codeberg!
Now to wait for the response (if they comply)
and if that works, I'll probably leave most servers I'm in to delete more messages

Hi! I'm Topi, a queer shiba inu furry in my 20s, I wanted to try out the fediverse and better connect with people (and leave X for good) so that's how I ended up here :>
I'm french but can also speak english, I'm a cybersecurity engineer by day and a silly dog playing video games otherwise, and I'm interested in tech, privacy, ethical hacking, gaming, furry, nature and other stuff :)
I may not post often (I've always been passive on public social media) but that may change once I get the hang of Mastodon and the feed ^^
Let me know if you have tips for the fediverse!
