@jake4480@c.im Yeah I'm 42 and grew up on radio so it's never left for me. It definitely helps to work in the industry. But in 20 years I've seen a steady decline :( We used to bill hundreds of dollars and have waitlists for advertisers for one station, but now our rates are in the lower double-digits (unless you buy premium ad time), and we don't waitlist anything, we just add time/inventory.

Really hoping the remaining tulips we have at the front of our house open up today; I need some subjects to finish up my last roll of film! Also, great job surviving, tulips! We intended to dig up all the bulbs last year because the past couple of springs have been torture for them - guess we didn't get all the bulbs after all. Nice to see some random flowers bloom. Life finds a way ;)

I was having some problems with my Obsidian > Digital Garden MLB The Show 24 tracker; I tried fixing it but had issues. I went the nuclear route and restarted. So now it's up again at https://franchise.lwgrs.cloud. Bases is now supported by Digital Garden! So I'm trying to incorporate those where it makes more sense than Dataview. Unfortunately table sizing is not responsive. I'll have to see if I can style them to fit the content rather than squish everything. Got some property editing I need to do with many existing files but once I'm done that, I'll start adding new games to the tracker (I only have 2 games to add so far).

@cygnoir Unsolicited emails regarding your podcast are all too common and started way before people started using AI slop. People looking to expand their brand just look for podcasts within appropriate categories and spam email. I have several book review requests for my reading podcast despite the fact that I choose my own books and A) have never done book reviews from solicitations B) never ask for people to submit books. Most of the time the books sent to me are 100% not something I would pick off the shelf to read.

@82mhz I didn't go through your test, but 100% I don't hear a difference between MP3 and lossless. I am re-ripping my CDs to lossless but that's because I have access to an iPod and wired headphones. But I listen to the actual CDs when I get the chance to.

@flamed@social.lol nice. I'm so far disappointed with mine :( it's more or less the same, obviously the less I use it the longer it lasts, but I still have to do top-up charges midday when I'm in the office. I'm only charging to 80% though.

@jedda@social.lol I've looked at those headphones (dunno if that exact model or not, but that brand/style). I want to get a pair, but my concern with that style of headphone is noise bleed - like if you turn it up even a little bit other people can hear noise from your headphones. Maybe it's the cheap headphones that came with walkmans back in the 90s I'm used to? I'm curious to know how that is with the Koss set!
