Do you ever get a weird feeling as if doing something a lot makes you better at it? Can’t be real, right?
Masters of the Universe was a supremely silly film. I still prefer Revelation and Revolution, but it was entertaining enough. Even with damn Jared Leto. At least we didn’t have to see his face.

That Vampire Lestat show is pretty amusing. Much better than I remember the book having been.
Why does anyone give any weight to the words of that pathological liar any more? Or that one? Or that one?
Can we stop calling them “influencers” and start calling them propagandists?
The Lego Arcade Pinball machine is a lot of fun. There are times the ball gets stuck on something, but for the most part, it works beautifully.

When you finish reading a thousand plus page book and feel seriously tempted to re-read the whole thing immediately to better catch all the plot threads together.
My big sloth art project was started exactly four years ago today. 1 740 702 strokes, 807 hours, 20 minutes, and counting. But I’m starting to hope I might finally get it finished this year.

It’s crazy how many companies are actively trying to alienate their own customers these days.
After finishing Monument Valley 3 yesterday, I replayed the previous entry today. Short and sweet, but has some nice set pieces, too. Although I still think the original and its Forgotten Shores extension is my favourite one.

Monument Valley 3 feels a bit like the Room 3 in that it tries to expand the idea of its predecessors into new areas and in the process spreads the original concept a little thin in some ways. But some of the ways it subverts the familiar mechanisms are absolutely delightful the first time you encounter them.

@dimillian That’s the thing that worries me the most about this all, really. Properly reviewing the code is a lot more difficult and tedious than writing it in the first place. And infinitely less fun. If that is all I’d be doing, I’d start looking for a new job instead.

@dimillian If you have the model both implement and test the ticket, how do you know the result is actually correct? Where I work, we make a point of having a separate QE actually verify the ticket and close it. Fresh pair of eyes and all that.

@jacobyaudio @daisy But it’s not really either of those things. It’s a password that controls access to other passwords stored in the system. And it needs to be easily understandable to the end users. Sure, there are alternatives, but they tend to be more wordy and kinda clunky.

@jacobyaudio @daisy I understand the sentiment, but personally I find that topology terminology thing to be a bit too much. Those system components aren’t people. And recently, we got a linter warning about non-inclusive terminology when referring to “master password”. What term should we use instead?

@mhoye I have been thinking about the possibility of setting up a shop or something, but haven’t really gotten around to it, as this is just a hobby for me. The original is actually big enough to be printed out in poster size.
Let’s do a proper #introduction. I am Slothdude, a hobbyist #sloth #artist. I used to draw sloths on an app called #DrawQuest until it shut down, and then for a while drew sloth portraits of people on another app called French Girls until that shut down, too. Now I draw sloths wherever I can, usually with an iPad app #Procreate. I do slothified versions of fine #art as well as cartoons and #fanart. I am also a #lego enthusiast.
