I replaced my Lenovo X1Carbon Gen 10 keyboard. It was *not* a pleasant experience, and I want my next laptop to be easier to repair!

It doesn't help that I used a non-original keyboard (as I couldn't find original parts) which feels different. And the TrackPoint pretty much just moves up, down and left no matter how hard I try to move other directions. So much for the "high quality" keyboard.

@vlkr@social.tchncs.de @sharlatan@mastodon.social @khleedril@cyberplace.social I believe it checks the substitutes in order, although I have not looked into it. I put my own substitute first, followed by moe, then the defaults, and I have not experienced any delays.

@kly@snabelen.no det at man har effektiv trening fra man går ut døra til man går inn er hva jeg også liker. Skal jeg ha ~2x30 min dødtid ville jeg aldri tatt meg tid til å trene. Så løping klarer jeg å holde gående, mens treningsstudio aldri har fungert.

@britown@mastodon.gamedev.place @accidentlyAnton@mastodon.gamedev.place I only store the commands. I.e. after the keypress has been looked up in the keyboard mapping. You cannot see the mouse cursor move in a replay, but the stored state is minimal.

@robinheghan@snabelen.no man må betale for personvern ja, for min del er det en VPN. Høres dog litt tvilsomt ut at det skal være lovlig. Hobbyjurist @sauen@snabelen.no har vanligvis litt greie på slikt.

@abcdw@fosstodon.org this is awesome! I have to write the password first using US qwerty on a Nordic qwerty keyboard, and then the second time using Programmer Dvorak. Has been a very annoying boot process!

@boilingsteam not that I game much, so I just use my regular distro Guix. Steam works fine at least.
