So one of the things I never know when reading sci fi novels is whether the space ship on the cover is supposed to be the space ship occupied by the people in the book or just, like, a picture of a space ship.
Either is fine, but please put a disclaimer in the front with the copyright information.
I am not a technical user so this may seem like a silly question, #freebsd friends. I have a computer that has a Broadcom wireless chip. What I’ve read is that in FreeBSD, Broadcom drivers are generally less supported than Intel chipsets. Is this because of anything other than resource allocation? Is there anything specific with Broadcom stuff that makes them more difficult to work with?
Follow up question, is there a driver bounty program that people could contribute to? Allocate some resources to get some better drivers?

I don’t think it’s a perfect paradigm, but I think it is helpful in these cases to think of software as a tool driven by the mind of the human who designed it and the human who uses it. The major contributions of the Foss community were philosophical and, well, the expansion of the possibility space to prove it (software development) can be done a different way. You’ve got Steve Ballmer on one side who thinks you can’t do security, can’t do features, can’t do user friendliness without proprietary development and you have…… a bunch of hobbyists proving him wrong?
What drove them to try? It was their philosophy. I think if you want a better world, you’re going to have to distill what about the philosophy of the Foss community you think has broader applications, and where the Foss community has weaknesses in its philosophy that leave it vulnerable.
I’m a dangerous man when there’s 50 pages to go before I finish the book.

I think it’s supposed to be a bit/affect, but idk if it’s a good one.
“AI is taking your job” is exactly as untrue as “offshore workers are taking your job,” “immigrants are taking your job,” or “brown people are taking your job.”
Management! Management took your job! And blamed someone else, because they’re cowardly by nature.

The other day I’m thinking about my hypertension that I had attributed to stress from school and I look over at the can. Stacked FULL of sodium. It’s like the only nutrient in those things.
Ruined my life. I’ve been drinking tea the past couple days.
