@skeletor@mas.to I'm not with you on this one because I appreciate people who ache for the perfect solution, and I hope that drive takes them somewhere great. Coming up unsatisfactory is a great outcome to me. I would ask them to explore why they didn't see satisfactory as satisfying.

Do you ever think the dark world is always mostly untapped too? They say the Internet isn't just what you see. But the amount of uninvited or unaddressed human knowledge and activity is ridiculous too.

I know that most of the people I know have barely scraped anything they wanted to know about me. At least half of the people that existed when I was born are long gone. Most of that harbours unaddressed information too.

I tried to tell one of the joeys about everything that nobody ever mentions about just my past. But you have to multiply that with one of those Big O complexity type equations or power rules to see what I'm talking about.

If CopyFail was big news in the IT world, and some thought it rivalled Y2K. Then why didn't it even register as a fart on any mainstream media?

Someone is a fluffy bunny in this story. IT people, or the mainstream media. I haven't worked out who?

Anzac Day hot take:

War is degeneracy. It's only a service when it's against tyrants. Everything else degeneracy!

Lest we forget equally means pity the poor bastards.

I will not vibe with stolen valour against their memory.

When I unfollow people it probably has everything to do with me, and not so much them.

If they have a million followers it's probably not the scene for me. If they keep too many laughs going, I don't want to always be a shoddy tryhard comedian in reply. The list goes on.

And many topics are too hard for me. There're better orators, thinkers, interviewers, researchers, …

@VWDasher@mymasto.com @NewtonMark@eigenmagic.net after seeing an elderly relative gifted a dangerous tracking technology I started to wonder if the problem is a little more obvious. We know that children are in danger of tech telling them what to do, and it's tantamount to child abuse. But, I haven't heard people worrying about tech becoming a form of elder abuse. I know my flatmate is set to go off whenever the TV winds him up. If you strapped an Apple watch on him it would basically run his life.
