Every time I contemplate cleaning my #beer lines I put it off and reason that my beer still tastes great. Then I bitch over how much work it is when I finally break down and do it. @britown@mastodon.gamedev.place I’ve always understood const-ness to be a language-specific concept, so I guess it depends? In C++ my understanding is that object const-ness applies to the *observable* state of the object, so anything that doesn’t effect the outward-facing class behavior (like caches) is an exception. C++ uses the *mutable* keyword to allow for these exceptions
