Any ideas for craft kits or a good theme for our remote employees in the LGBT+ group at work (it includes allies)? We want to see if we can either have a prompt that folx with materials already can work off of interpreting in their own medium and/or send kits to people who don’t have materials. For example the family group did a pumpkin showcase during Halloween, but unconventional pumpkins like Lego were also welcome.

Working on the NDS Lite again yesterday and today. I got sooo much further than last time, but I'm devastated to say that after fixing a piece i had asked my partner to put in, the top screen ribbon cable ripped, again. I had even got as far as putting the battery back in, and saw both screens fine at one point. Contemplating whether I want to buy yet another replacement screen, as it's going to be such a pain just to get this one back out...

Yesterday, I installed an iFlash Solo SSD and new battery into my iPod Classic 6th Gen. The suggestion is to format to FAT32 in advance, but turns out that the iPod restore will do that automatically. I've been stuck in a cycle of my device either rejecting the format or saying my device needs to be repaired. I did at one point get Rockbox with @dook@post.lurk.org 's Themify theme going. I haven't gone as far as getting music that I synced from MusicBee to play yet, it just skips the tracks endlessly. I was surprised that MusicBee uses the iTunes API, so if I want to remove iTunes, I'll have to consider switching to foobar.

Yesterday, my partner and I did an inclusive woodworking class where we made a two stack letter tray. The shop is run by volunteers who build up their knowledge through the youth programs they do. That patience definitely helped as I was in a bit of a sensory overload headspace. We learned about wood, how to use a table and circular saw for rips and crosscuts, using a combination of wood glue, dowels, nail gun, and screws with guide holes for assembly.
