Why you should follow me: Did you ever watch Unbreakable, starring Bruce Willis? I've got no sense of smell, but in return I got five wisdom teeth. It makes me, like, 25% wiser that many other people.

Other facts: Married. Two children. Mostly content.

@nazokiyoubinbou@urusai.social @typeswitch@gamedev.lgbt It's from Douglas Adams's "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe", and stripping them bare is basically what happens: "Since we decided a few weeks ago to adopt the leaf as legal tender, we have, of course, all become immensely rich." Followed closely by: "So in order to obviate this problem," he continued, "and effectively revalue the leaf, we are about to embark on a massive defoliation campaign, and...er, burn down all the forests. I think you'll all agree that's a sensible move under the circumstances."

@bloodravenlib What makes these models worse than other bottles without a pressure release valve? Is it that the caps have short threads, so they are free to move out very soon when unscrewing? I'm thinking this is probably a potential issue on other brands and models too, so I'd like to be aware of the root cause.

@angusm@mastodon.social @pluralistic@mamot.fr It also seems to me we have all collectively forgotten that today's LLMs are built on multiple ideas that are individually useful. Embeddings, for example, are under-utilised and super-interesting on their own. I would not be surprised if our brain partly operate on similar ideas.
