OK #linux people, I need some advice. At the start of last year, I pitched Windows for Ubuntu and have been quite happy with it, but I'm disappointed with Canonical's decision to embrace #AI, and was looking for other distros to hop to. I was planning Debian, but they just voted to allow for "responsible" AI contributions (LOL, have you ever met anyone who would admit to being irresponsible in mixed company?!) I was looking at #Gentoo but that might be over my head. Recommendations? 1/2

I received my Jewelry Box edition of Endearment yesterday. How to explain to people just how MASSIVE this thing is...? Oh, I know. #boardgames

Flygohr has done incredible work for me (including my book blog's banner) and is really struggling now that AI is killing off the #artist #commission industry.

He's recently launched a patreon. If you like the stuff I've posted below, maybe consider giving him some ❤️ and/or 💵 ? Or hey, ask him to draw you something! He's really good at it!

@inthehands@hachyderm.io my hope is that all the people who didn't let their cognitive skills atrophy by using AI to write their code for them will be the valuable hires after everyone wakes up to the emperor's lack of clothing. But damn is it bleak right now.

There are a lot of good eBook stores out there. I'm very happy with the Kobo store and Calibre plugins make it extremely easy to read on my 3rd party hardware. I would also recommend checking out the bookshop.org shop, as I expect it will also have good non-DRMd options.

@catsalad that's pretty great but to be true Masto bait (snicker) it needs about 10% more cat in the mix.

I know this doesn't solve things, but I hope Canadians understand that THIS is how the US actually feels about them.

Is there a place to report potential song #mashup opportunities? Here? OK, I guess I'll just leave it here.

If someone wants to take a crack at mashing up Black Puma's "Ice Cream (Pay Phone)" with Jessca Hoop's "Tulip" I would be very interested in the results.
