@hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange with the latter there are probably so many interactions you’ve had with Aussies that you’ve never realised were just The Castle references 😂

@decryption@aus.social I’m not sure tbh, I personally use netbird, which while it has the same feature is possibly implemented differently. That does however have the ability to shove the login prompt in front of it

@decryption@aus.social @projectgus@aus.social @mattrobertson@aus.social I know the charge frequency on that, we do about 20-25k km per year per car. We charge most days

@decryption@aus.social looking at the discharge lock stuff its kind of complicated like you can tell it to not discharge the home battery into the car but it looks like that might also set it so that for the duration of the charge the battery itself won't discharge either

@decryption@aus.social have you looked into EVCC, if your battery and stuff can be controlled from it I think you might be able to automate that (I don't have a battery though, so I can't be certain)

@siguza@infosec.space 😂 they’re pretty much the best value for dedicated on Australian soil which is the only reason I’m with them. Everyone else is 3-10x the price for an equivalent box

ovh certainly know how to give a person a heart attack, in the last month I migrated my 5 year old bare metal server to newer hardware that’s also half the price and cancelled my old one, billing day was yesterday, and I wake up to an email telling me my account is suspended for non payment. Half asleep in a panic, I log into my ovh portal (not through the email link because even half asleep I’m not a complete fucking idiot) and all the bills are marked as paid and no amount owing. Confused as fuck I read the email again where half way through it says “this may be because you cancelled a service”… fuck you dickheads, termination on request and termination for non-payment should be entirely separate fucking emails

@decryption@aus.social I can’t recommend self hosting mail. Google and their ilk as mail providers have been ratcheting up the vendor lock in for years now that leads to them not delivering emails that don’t come from the email cartel

@trib@aus.social personally I have a tempest, it’s a bit of a pain to get here though. There’s 2 modules for home assistant, one that can pull from the weather flow cloud and another that is local only. It does not have native HomeKit though

@sortius@infosec.exchange @MelissaBearTrix@gives.hugz.online for me it’s the hair, even if I’ve let my beard grow out. I however couldn’t give 2 shits about being misgendered, particularly if it means some some in the transgender community get correctly gendered

@samhenrigold@hachyderm.io @joey@peoplemaking.games It was definitely both. I remember looking in the cellular diagnostics applet which gave you the raw dBm value and "holding it wrong" could see a >15dBm drop in signal strength
