Hi everyone! 👋🏻 #introduction We're a married couple and new on the Fediverse journey — no social media for a good 4-5 years now. Our last few years were all about #foss, helping institutions go away from proprietary solutions, and trying to develop #games (using Godot) for fun. Privately, we went away from decentralised services and found some things that work well and others that don't. We've both been doing server stuff and FOSS since the late 90s, but the learning never ends. ;)

@ftranschel@norden.social @darkpixel@infosec.exchange Ah yeah, I get that. With Gentoo, it's always been "don't touch it once it works" for me. I've only tried Arch once and crawled straight back to Gentoo. For some reason, Arch was harder to figure out. 😅

@darkpixel@infosec.exchange Back up the USE flags you want in an extra file somewhere. Keep it secret (or not), but definitely keep it safe. If you keep Gentoo, you'll be coming back to your wise self who went through the long list ages ago. 😬
