@Mimesatwork Where I live in New Zealand the city council's strategy is something like this: Step 1: Remove public toilets from the city centre so no-one goes there unless they have to. Step 2: Petition the national government to create more reasons people might have to go to the city centre.

@sitharus @pearofdoom I put an Alpine Linux emulator on my phone and rapidly discovered that I'd been a fool to ever try using an iPhone without it. But also: I discovered that on my main computer the systemd thing you're supposed to use instead of chroot works fine on a copy of the emulator's file tree.

T.I.L. thunix.net is in the process of shutting down so I had to very quickly ssh in and run `migrate-me` so I can resume/continue using my primary email address when the merge with tilde.club completes.

@hipsterelectron yeah it wasn't a trivia test: that particular question was a "fill the blanks in this fairly realistic workflow" question and the automated result is just preliminary before an actual human has another look.

Just finished a skill test for a prospective employer and the automated report at the end said I'm in the top 1% of test-takers. Got full marks for the python, JavaScript, SQL, and a couple of other sections. Lost a few marks on the DevOps section but nothing drastic. I have a slight suspicion I lost a mark for answering `git checkout -b` where the expected answer was probably `git branch -c`.

@anubis2814 @Rushkoff this time last year I planned to just log out permanently and leave my data taking up space on their servers. I recently changed my mind and decided to download my data and delete my account. The download is prepped but when I noticed it my computer was booted into an OS that doesn't have a sufficiently up to date web browser to actually download it so I'll be carrying out the rest of my plan tomorrow.
