@anon_opin@mastodon.social As the pope recently pointed out in his "Magnifica Humanitas", irreversible decisions should not be delegated to machines. Humans need to be responsible and accountable. "AI triage" sounds like a really terrible idea to me. It tends to diffuse responsibility in the name of efficiency, reducing human beings to data and numbers, violating their dignity.

@fatherlinux@noc.social I beg to differ. When relying on #GenAI , you do not learn how to program by yourself. Knowledge and compute power get centralized by #bigtech increasing lock-in effects for everybody. #FreeSoftware on the other hand strives to empower and encourage citizens to learn and grow in order to build a free society. If anything, GenAI endangers #GPL by providing the means to easily do #licensewashing. GenAI is not democratizing programming; it tries to monopolize it.
