The glittering waters reflect our hopes, whilst our hearts ache with the news of loved ones killed in Lebanon and the expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank.

As a liberation movement, GSF is fundamentally opposed to the abuse of power. We believe the integrity of our movement must match the justice of our cause, which is why we refuse impunity in our own spaces.

We have an arms-length, independent Ethics Committee that was formalised following the 2025 mission, comprised of trained legal professionals and built specifically to ensure that leadership and power do not influence our accountability processes. This is a permanent, foundational part of our structure.

We know it's not easy to come forward. We also know that when things unfold outside of designated channels, they can escalate in ways that make it harder to protect everyone involved, especially those who may have been harmed.

However, we cannot trigger an investigation or hold individuals accountable based on public rumors. A month ago, we reached out and encouraged the author of the recently circulating posts to use the confidential, protected reporting pathway so that a rigorous, impartial review can take place. To date, we have not received any related complaints.

We’re a movement made up of people. We are learning and adjusting, like many of you. We welcome feedback and will continue to update our processes to support the community. In the end, we keep us safe.

If you’ve experienced or witnessed something that doesn’t align with our values, you can reach out to an organizer, delegation, or workgroup lead so we can help guide you to the right channel. In many cases, this may involve putting your concern in writing so it can be properly addressed.

By legalizing the execution of an occupied people under a military court system, which already maintains a near-total conviction rate, israel has moved from the strategy of mass incarceration to the policy of state-sanctioned liquidation. This transition marks the logical, albeit horrific, conclusion of a system built on the systemic dehumanization of Palestinians and a culture of legalized impunity. It extends the existing violence of the Gaza blockade and West Bank dispossession into a final, irreversible architecture of death.

As global governments fail their moral and legal obligations to uphold international law, the responsibility falls to the global community of conscience. Our answer to the threat of execution is Sumud—an unbreakable, collective, and nonviolent steadfastness. We will not be intimidated, and we will not look away.

The Global Sumud Flotilla remains more committed than ever to breaking the siege of Gaza, sailing to challenge every wall, every blockade, and every new instrument of violence the israeli state constructs. Justice cannot be executed, and the yearning for freedom will not be silenced.

Palestinian Land Day symbolizes resistance, identity, and the enduring connection between people and their land. Palestinian Land Day marks March 30, 1976, when Palestinians protested land confiscation and faced violent repression and massacre by the occupiers.

Palestinian Land Day is not just a moment in history, but a reminder that the struggle for justice and self-determination continues.

On April 12 we sail—bigger, stronger, and louder than ever before.

For 78 years, Palestinians have been resisting erasure. For two decades, the flotillas have refused to stop trying to break the seige. Right now, a team of artists are making sure our boats tell the story that refuses to be extinguished: Sumud.

It’s a labor of love that transmits the diversity and strength of our movement. It’s art as resistance, and a beacon call: Don’t look away.

All eyes on Gaza. All eyes on the flotilla as we break the siege.

Since 6 Mar 2026, seven Tunisian comrades have been detained. Authorities first imposed five days of preventive detention, then extended it another five. On 16 Mar 2026, a judge ordered their pre-trial detention.

They are: Ghassen Boughdiri, Jawaher Channa, Nabil Chennoufi, Ghassen Henchiri, Sana Msahli, Wael Nawar, & Dr. Mohamed Amine Ben Nour.

These comrades have been part of the work for years, including vital efforts linked to the Global Sumud Flotilla & the wider movement to break the siege on Gaza.

What is happening to them is not isolated. It comes in the context of repression, criminalisation, and a campaign to discredit those who refuse silence while Gaza is starved and besieged. Rights groups in Tunisia have condemned the case, calling for their immediate release.

We want to honour the Tunisian people, whose solidarity with Palestine has been long-standing, principled, and deeply felt.

As the world marks the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we remember the fearless comrades who were killed at Sharpeville on this day in 1960. Thousands of Black South Africans came together in a peaceful protest against the “pass laws” that controlled every aspect of their lives under apartheid. The protesters’ plan was to march to the Sharpeville police station without their passes in an act of civil disobedience. What unfolded was a brutal act of state violence, when police opened fire at close range on a crowd of protesters who were singing and dancing while demanding an end to restrictions on where they could work, live or travel. Sharpeville revealed the truth of apartheid to the world, but more importantly, it demonstrated that ordinary people, when united, have the capacity to challenge the systems designed to silence them. In the days that followed the Sharpeville Massacre, demonstrations against the killings spread across South Africa and the world. The leadership of the African National Congress (ANC), including Nelson Mandela also burned their passes in solidarity with the people of Sharpeville. As protests spread across the world, the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly for the first time condemned the killings and called for an end to apartheid.
