Went to Truro Pride today with kiddo. Parade was turned into a solidarity march this year, due to gross BS that's happened locally recently. (Drag story time cancelled due to threats.) Highlight was seeing someone dressed as Spider-Man who, after the march, was happy to pose with kiddo for photos. Regardless of it being a march, it was smaller than previous years in the city. #Cornwall #PrideSeason 1/2

Looking like the switch will be to Obsidian as it's handling my old notes better. Currently using YARLE to import all my notebooks after an initial test. Once I've got things set up on desktop, I'll be sorting it out on my Android and then, I'll be saying bye to Evernote and good riddance.

While I say Joplin in the original post, I am open to a few others to try out, so long as they're not US big tech. I've been trying out Joplin with a few of my Evernote notebooks, and the bigger issue for me is web clipping on mobile at the moment. I tend to clip things like recipe web pages, because they don't stick around forever.

Well, here's where I get off, Evernote.

I've used you for over 14 years but I'm not paying £154.90 to be able to have more than 1000 notes and AI features that I don't want to use.

I'm heading for Joplin, synching with stuff I've already got.

UPDATE: Now looking like Obsidian.

@Blerkotron@mastodon.social we make use of Disney+ a lot due to kiddo, and there are a lot of other shows on there we watch, so there are other things we can take time with. What I think is going to be a bit mad next month, is that DDBA S2, The Boys and Invincible are all going to be releasing episodes at the same time. So that's across Disney and Amazon Prime.

When people create professional groups centred around women, but fail to account for professional women who are parents of young children or carers, when they set early evening times for things, I get pissed off.

This is a sub post about one such group.

It is only by pure chance of the work shift gods that my husband is available to look after kiddo during the initial, *online* meet at 6:30pm.

Yes, let's create a women professionals group, and ignore a challenge for many of them.

I was once paid to write about the history of Valentine's Day... But this was back in the bad days of pre-2012 Penguin update Google Search. While my article was factual, it made it really hard for the black hat SEO company that hired me, to bung in dodgy backlinks for their end customer. They never used the article.

But here's the thing, we're closer to shitty Google Search than ever before.
