My friends have just shocked me with the fact that there's a hungarian band called "Piás nővérkék", which can be translated as "Alcoholic sisters" but in a diminutive form. I'm hungarian but I never knew such trash exists here 😂 they play party songs and cover others.

The way audiogames forum administration works is very interesting to say the least. They find someone from the same country as someone who has been banned before and most of the admins don't even know where and why but they ban people left and right. Yet noone has found out that Iwain is Caccio72 and Strilin is Tdani, both of them were banned indefinitely and they just, chill there and are proud of it in our local community 😂 it's just very hilarious that it's possible to comfuse them so hard they don't even realise it.

I just want to share something very positive with all of you.
I've just realized it's always better to talk to people, even if you think nothing will change after your message.
I sometimes watch Tiktok. Yesterday at night I found a man there from Greece. He's posting videos about the language, culture, ancient Greek, and basically everything that's connected with the culture. Sometimes his videos are pretty visual, so I don't always catch what he's doing. The content is very interesting though, so I was thinking like hmm, why not to write him. It's true he has a lot of followers, and he seems to be a very popular person, I thought well, if I never try, we'll never know. If he answers, I'll be very happy, but if he doesn't, at least I'll know I tried.
Yet at night I wrote him a message about how much I like his content. I also asked him if he takes private students as well, or does he teach only online. I told him I'm blind and unfortunately it scares a lot of people away, but I'm generally a very open-minded person so I hope I didn't scare him away.
I woke up in the morning. Nothing. I ate my lunch. Nothing. And when I almost lost all my hope, I got a notification from Tiktok. He answered.
Now that's what I call standing on the ground with two feet. A very popular young man who probably has more followers and messages every day that I've seen in my entire life, answers me and it's actually not AI, but him.
He sent me his Linkedin, as well as suggested me to discuss the possibility of online studying further, also he said although he has no experience, he would be more than happy to try, he sees no reason not doing so.
I'm so glad such people still exist and not everyone turns their head away when blind people reach out.

Who's watching the Eurovision Song Contest this year? What are your opinions on the contest itself? Which songs are your favourites in 2026?
I've always followed it when Hungary was still participating. And then our government said hungarian musicians deserve more than a contest which is being heavily influenced by politics, so we refused to send any contestants for a very long time now.
Last year I saw Sweden's entry in a youtube shorts video. It was very funny for us hungarians because in the chorus, anyone who speaks hungarian, could easily hear swear words, even if all they did was to praise sauna :D
I sent the song to my best friend and we decided to follow poor Sweden along so we watched all the semi finals and the grand final too. We enjoyed it a lot. Everything started with Sweden but then we realised we started to like more and more entries. From last year I wanted Greece to win so bad, that woman's voice is just perfect. I also liked The Netherlands, Iceland, Norway, Ireland was very cute, and well, I could continue on and on. The worst was the UK, I'm sorry. Also even if Hungary didn't participate, germans gave us some credit since the participants Abor & Tynna are originally hungarians. :)
This year it's a bit more complicated because a lot of countries boycott the contest because of Israel. While I somewhat understand them, since it's very unfair; either ban all the countries at war, or don't ban anyone, that's it.

Gave up modding Core Keeper because I just can't get orientation working. It seems just impossible for me. It seems as if the character doesn't move straightly, we constantly bump into walls and we don't know why. No, I don't want to implement teleportation in an exploring survival game, never. I'll let my sister play instead, and maybe, at some time...

@Tamasg Does Claude have more usage limit than Codex? I have the 20 dollar subscription of Claude but honestly, I'm not satisfied with the pro usage limit at all. Yes, I'm not willing to invest $100 a month. Yes, for me $100 is too much at the moment. But I'm still paying $20 and what I get is basically almost nothing. Gemini pro costs a bit more, and although I'm getting it for free due to me being a student, the usage limit is much more generious than what Claude has to offer. It's slower and it produces more bugs, but it's also reliable and I get a fair usage limit for the money I'd have to pay if I wasn't a student.

Greek blind friends on Mastodon, what TTS do you use on a daily basis? I don't know the language myself but I'm very interested in your culture, folk songs, as well as Greek music from different genres. And I'd like to hear all the names and titles with good pronunciation. What do you recommend me?
