@joho@mastodon.online but isn't age verification done for keeping kids away from the harmful stuff? Although I'm not sure about how effective it really is. I think they do it avoid responsibility when kids access those sites.

Wit studio just gave a new update on #TheOnePiece remake. There's going to be 7 episodes of 42 minutes each in the first season which covers the story up to the point where Straw hats meet Sanji.
The anime is going to be released in 2027.
Everything looks cool as hell. The art, the pace, the animators.. I'm sooo excited. I hope they don't ruin this.

#books I read in April:
1. I robot - Asimov
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very interesting. I haven't read Asimov before this, but I liked it very much. The robot cult story and the robot politician stories were the best.
2. Pierre and Jean - Guy de Maupassant
⭐⭐⭐ (3.5)
I used to read Maupassant short stories as a teenager from gutenberg.org. The novel wasn't as good, imo. It was just ok. Quite entertaining, but I haaaaated the characters, especially the one called Pierre. Poor ending too.
I read 2 books
1. The Lost Man by Jane Harper.
Faster paced than the books I usually read. I hated the false baits at the end of each chapter to make me read the next one. Nice Setting and unexpected ending.
2. The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan.
A boring start in a village, an adventurous journey through a number of cities and towns where we meet all sorts of characters. Pace was slow. But it got good later, though the rushed ending ruined it a little.

I admit it's not that good rn. But without it's consequences it probably would've gotten better and useful. But in reality tho, it's just too much resources for too little use and too many bad consequences

@uriel@x.keinpfusch.net That's a little condescending. Anyways, I was pointing out why a user can't have the same connection like they do with Instagram. Sure, Instagram doesn't have privacy. But Mastodon also doesn't have something significant for a social media: variety of people. This leads to a lot of people not finding what they are looking for and feeling excluded. So, even if you recruit people they might still feel excluded. I personally can't recruit people for reasons.

@uriel@x.keinpfusch.net It's private, open source, the userbase is the best anywhere: polite and human. I love all that. but there isn't much variety in the userbase. It's mostly computer folk or politics. I'm not saying it's bad, but I want to see more memes and less serious toots.
Also, only the trending section has really interesting posts. Despite following multiple hashtags on my interests, my home feed is mostly boring. I would never switch for anything else but I wish there were more people on here.
