Great episode on the battery podcast "Geladen" about the Donutlabs solid state battery.
Apparently the original producing manufacturer is located in Germany and has experience in screen printing. There might be some truth to (part of the) original claims. But for now I'd still stay sceptical.

Pros and cons of having parents using an open source operating system:
-Pros: More people using open source SW, less data for the big data kraken, cheaper and more reliable etc...
-Cons: "Could you please help me install *insert any standard software* ?"

Typically goes like this:
"Have you tried installing it yourself?"
"No."
... "Alright, I'll connect remotely."
But I shouldn't complain, it is actually a good thing :)
