It’s the love and care the organizers put into every little detail that makes them what they are. It was wonderful to catch up with Matthieu Riegler, @fabiangosebrink@bird.makeup, and so many more people again. No matter where in the world we travel, our community has a way of making every place feel like home. 😊

Wrapped up two fantastic days in London at the International JavaScript Conference, where I had the chance to talk about #WebAI and #WebMCP — two explorations around bringing AI to the browser. Thanks to everyone who came by the session!

I also enjoyed catching up in person with my fellow speakers Brygida Fiejdasz and @ManfredSteyer@mastodon.social, and with my London-based @tag@w3c.social colleagues @lolaodelola@mastodon.social and Matthew Atkinson. 😊

Just back from NG Belgrade Conf 2026, the largest Angular conference in the Balkans.

I had a great time presenting on what's new in Web from a standards perspective.

Thanks to Marko Stanimirović and the NG Belgrade team for organizing the conference and for the great guided tour through Belgrade, to my speaker colleagues for the wonderful time, and to all attendees who made the event happen!

📲 Cool new updates for the Web Application #Manifest!

• Manifest localization (`name_localized`, …) was the most complex spec text I've written so far. It will now ship in Chrome and Edge 148, with the implementation contributed by the Edge team. (https://developer.chrome.com/blog/manifest-localization)
• Recently, we added the `color_scheme_dark` member to the spec that allows specifying different theme and background colors for the dark color scheme—with support from Chromium and WebKit. (https://github.com/WebKit/WebKit/pull/62443)

It "delves" ;) into the hard data to see how AI is being integrated into the web. We analyzed millions of pages to understand:

➡️ How devs are deploying client-side AI.
➡️ Adoption rates of GenAI SDKs & APIs.
➡️ The usage of llms.txt & robots.txt.
