Going to deactivate Echofeed, it's posting old stuff from my Reddit history, and although some of it has an interest to me it's not what I want appearing here.

A shame that I don't know if it's Echofeed or Reddit's approach to RSS feed that's at fault here.

Technologically primitive compared with today's offerings sure, but it just worked and was simple enough that bugs were found more quickly and usually had less of an impact. Happy days. But here I am looking at all this wondrous stuff on a slab of glass, metals and plastics and thinking, naah I'd rather not go back. 🌹🖍️👓

Been chatting at work about establishing an AI policy that stops our intellectual property from leaking from non-company LLMs. We have a couple of new starters, one wants to test his understanding of what he's learning by using an AI. Whilst we had it sandboxed it seemed possible. But I cautioned him that in practice it's unlikely to offer much protection - it's an illusion of privacy isn't it. Anyway, found out today that the group is setting up a group-only LLM.

It's not a massive step to substituting "form of government" and believing those governing are now reliant on magic to shape their decision making. My boss's started yesterday - and mine was setup at the same time and is supposedly configured identically to his. The only difference, their UPNs¹ were changed last week whilst mine was done a few months ago - without incident. So far. ¹ User Principal Name (login ID)
