I've found that TeamOps and the operating principles to be a good references on how to apply values, but some of what you talk about are certainly things that aren't obvious from those, especially being willing to ask questions and how (so important!). It's always also been interesting which parts people put emphasis on, so appreciate your distilling of them.

I once heard that in order to get promoted at Google, you have to have "built" a feature or improvement, which is why we often see seemingly random changes that may or may not be an actual improvement. *looks over at the new icons*

I go out for a walk with @TheRealPomax@mastodon.social and clear up some scotch broom (very invasive and pervasive species of plant). Today, I discovered 10 mosquito bites, and of course, he has none.

Anyone know of a #mosquito #repellent (for using on a person) that you can buy in #BC #Canada that works?

@ExplodingLemur@mastodon.online sorry to hear that. Yes, for our infra, k8s would generally be necessary. Not so if you’re interested in other security roles, or customer facing roles like support or professional services (such as implementation) since we have self-managed (on-prem) with different install options. Sorry I can’t be of more help. Good luck with the job search.
