The settings preferences bbutton was below the bottom of my screen as I had screen size set to 130% trying to read the screen with little contrast between the written words and the background.

Here is a picture of some of the graphics cards that I own from the late 90s and early 2000s era that we have been discussing recently. And the AMD 5870 is from 10 to 12 years later.

The Creative is an Audigy 2 PCI sound card from the era.

The Hercules Prophet II GTS 64mb is an Nvidia Geforce 2 GTS with 64mb (instead of 32mb).

The Hercules Prophet 4500 64mb is a PowerVR Kyro II.

Continuing the Late 90s and Early 2000s graphics card discussion.

For those who may not know, "hardware T&L" is hardware transform & lighting. The term refers to the mathematical process of creating a 3D space and rendering it from the perpective of the viewer. "Hardware T&L" means that these processes are now done on the graphics card instead of the CPU...and is the technical definition of what makes a GPU (graphics processing unit).

The strange Broadwell generation. Early 14nm production. The i7 5775C didnt overclock well due to the early 14nm process, but it incorporated a 128mb EDRAM Level 4 Cache.

Remember the 20th Anniversary Pentium G3258?

3.2GHz unlocked dual core Haswell (no Hyperthreading) released in 2014. It worked really well for gaming at the time because most games were still single threaded. Overclocked well to 4.2Ghz on stock cooler, 4.5Ghz easy with better cooling and often 4.7Ghz was attainable (no Turbo Boost)

They came with the copper core stock coolers. Intel famously cheapened these stock coolers down with all aluminum cores.

I have a brand new in box AMD FX 8350 Black Edition. Core 2 Duo and Phenom II performance, didnt cut it in 2011-2016, soon as Sandy Bridge hit the market.

Some bangers from the late 70s early 80s (Maxell and TDK) to the late 80s (Sony).

Type II Sony UX-S 90 and UX-ES 90 on the Right Column + plus top of Adjacent Column.

Type I TDK AD 90 on the Left Column...over some Type II TDK SA 90.
