@SnoopJ@hachyderm.io @cstross@wandering.shop good to hear: the Scots are generally awesome with rugby and football and I say that as an Englishman. The problem the English fanbase has is that, having won it once, too many believe with a jingoistic arrogance that they're destined to win it again; Scots'll give their all, have fun but largely remember it's just a game and don't seem to have that problem. Cheer on anyone against England and they will love you. Anyone running a bar showing the games could just put "Croatia vs England Scotland fans: You know what to do" On a blackboard and you'd basically have an embassy.

@Canageek that makes sense with what I've heard/seen. A lot of UK Nitrokeg lagers are 4% ABV, but to reduce transportation costs are either brewed under licence or concentrated/reconstituted. The latter approach may well use such ethanol solutions.

Was it not always so, given Republican economic strategy and Democrat sympathies with Ireland (which was abused by the UK for centuries)

Generally speaking, if a relationship partner leaves you, 250 years is a long time to refuse to stop trying to cosy up.
