@Catvalente@wandering.shop I think the complete Grimms' Fairy Tales has more than one, but the one that stuck in my memory is Godfather Death: https://sites.pitt.edu/~dash/grimm044.html

Also a d1000 made after the latter's principle. Or maybe d10000, I forget XD

@futurebird And there is one species of jumping spider that has a like 80-90% herbivorous diet because they mostly feed on ant energy bars.
That species is names bagheera kiplingi, which amuses me for no end.

@peterb@mathstodon.xyz I blew a younger colleague's mind last week by telling him that downloading a not-great-quality mp3 took like 15 minutes, and the Windows installer was ~13 MB and came on 9 disks... (obviously later than 80s, but still, it was funny)

I doodled Hornet sitting on a frog chair, which I had in my mind for months, since it came up in the first stream when @samikelsh@mastodonapp.uk started playing Silksong and speculated about the crafting system and being able to craft a frog chair...

Experimental archaeology if you're doing it so you can ask them questions about the past, or otherwise learn about the past.

I asked Wikipedia, and jute is a genus in the mallow family.
And burlap is a type of cloth that can be woven from jute or sisal and possibly other plant fibres.

@jay @s0 Was going to say that, for real post "offices" in Germany.
Sometimes they partner with a shop instead of setting up their own location, though, and just today I went to a place that was a post office, and also sold a lot of gift items, art supplies, puzzles and board games, and helium-filled gift balloons XD

I spent a lot of the day tidying and sorting. More than I'd like was the kind of sorting that causes rather little *visible* progress, but I also got one corner of my living room to a state I like, and the sorting led to some stuff getting boxed to get rid of, or in recycling or trash.
