Nothing surprises me after watching parts of the press often just acting as microphone holders so CEOs who have repeatedly been wrong and said incredibly stupid things can broadcast another opinion or weird idea without further context or holding them accountable. Also knowing that said press news outlets are invested in by the tech companies, their investors or their CEOs themselves.

Tim Corey, educator and .NET developer did this video yesterday to check out if the obscene prices people have been posting on r/GithubCopilot are true. Tried to learn the piano a while ago and I'd end sessions frustrated because I couldn't get my fingerwork right. Cue next day where I can play the same piece without a hitch. The brain needs some downtime to rearrange stuff so you can go to a task with what it's processed during downtime.

I've been keeping a physical Bullet Journal for a while, but not quite the same. Going back to physical media myself, although digitising them for when I'm on the go. My phone has replaced my habit of reading books when on the go and I really want to curb that habit this year and go back to reading more books.

@_elena@mastodon.social And this is how I find out that he's on their board. 😅 Even if Bsky themselves and some of their staff actions didn't raise alarms from the get go for me. The fact that they are located in the US under current administration and the lack of autonomy does. I'm happy I finally took the plunge and made them my back up social media and Mastodon my primary. I like some of the utility over there, but it's already doing the spiral I watched Twitter doing before leaving there.

Even though the technology inherently relies on voiding people's privacy. For the longest time they cheered on it as a way to beat Copyright and boost free information, ignoring people who tried to explain why it would be damaging.
