  I'm 6 weeks into lifting big weights at the gym, and I feel like I may be running out of fast linear progression, which I'm not thrilled about. I was rather enjoying lifting 5 more pounds every time I stepped up to the bar. But I'm not just breezing through recovery like I had been 😕 Anyway, I deadlifted 205 today. Which is very cool.   In February last year, I put together a home lab server because I thought it was likely that new laptops would become unavailable in the US at some point. So, I find it deeply satisfying to see AI fans moan about how they can't possibly run local models while I'm sitting on a half terrabyte of RAM that's mostly just seeding torrents and streaming my movie collection to my TVs. Or literally anything but hosting a self-delusion factory

  Question for fedi art nerds: if i wanted to spend around $400 on a graphics tablet for casual use under linux (fedora/gnome/wayland, unless I really really really had to change, and even then it would be a vm), what are the good options? Other considerations: this will be mostly couch use, portable is better, 14-16" is probably the right size, and I've gotten accustomed to hardware that just works

  Watching people try to "debug" coding agent behavior is so unbelievably painful. It's just fucking magic incantations Did you use this specific super power? Did you ask it to explain itself? Did you read it's thought process to see where it's getting overwhelmed? No because none of that is real. It does not do any of those things. It confabulates statistically probable text, and it does that over and over until a control loop stops asking for more....
