re: LB It's been obvious to me for years that AI chatbots were an assault on expertise. (also labor, sense making, knowledge, art, artists, and so on. But, also expertise) But I didn't forsee it being so effective on software developers. Our bosses, sure. And our coworkers who see themselves as temporarily unfunded startup founders, obviously. But not wide swathes of free software maintainers. And not the kind of devs who just write code for a living because they learned to do it and it pays well, but then they go home and live their lives. If I even thought about it, I'm sure I believed that we, as a group, placed too much value on correctness. I guess that was naive of me
