  I needed to revert back to #FreeBSD 12.0. In the beginning, I tried using FreeBSD 15.0, manually mounting /mnt, and extracting base.txz from /usr/freebsd-dist. And... it just figures: according to Claude.ai starting with FreeBSD 15 the *.txz files were moved to being online only. Really, folks? Because from what I've experienced -- freebsd's installer does not work well with a lot of laptop and PC SSDs. The installer when one uses the manual part of their installation when typing gpart...

  I bought a Lenovo from Leah at coreboot/Libreboot in the U.K. This machine has Libreboot installed in place of the machine’s UEFI/BIOS. Anybody know why this error comes up in #FreeBSD 15 and how to get around it without reinstalling the Lenovo laptop’s stock UEFI rom file back in place and ridding myself of Libreboot?
