Briefly: I wonder how much longer you /guys/ and old men are going to keep up this persistent concern about security in software with respect to the use of artificial intelligence? (I can't speak to womens' views or any NB's views because they are a little different in how they think) My approach when writing about software is to take a broader view. I leave now with this: What if it didn't matter where the fvcking money came from to run a business or any business for that matter — as Microsoft Central is now trying to push for with their non-GAAP business model, courtesy of CEO Satya Nadella having a brain fart over the weekend and suddenly coming up with his own package to sell to investors? WHY CAN'T WE DO THAT? What if everyone was able to get paid for what they enjoyed doing... regardless of their particular station in life? Gone are the days of censorship from our parents: "No. That's not allowed. No, you may not do that." I want people to just be free. What's wrong with that idea? I'm sorry that the last point especially over earning revenue is a sticking point for the C-Suite within any Fortune 500 company... As if anybody who does work for a living actually gives a healthy fuck what the rich bozos in C-Suite believe today. The conundrum (it's a huge challenge and I'm not sweeping any of it under the rug now for convenience) is that all C-Suite people swear by Microsoft, Azure, C#/.NET, and so on. These people are "on the payroll." And it's not just with the software world. Enterprise has been this way for around 40, 50, 60 years and maybe even longer. "Sell your soul to the corporation to make a dime" ...and just let it ride. Um, hell no. I am a real, functioning hippie who is now writing something tangible and relational: No thanks, Mr. Boss Man. Look, all of you male, privileged bastards... Things really are changing. In fact, they are changing for the better. Give US what is OURS. C-Suite: stop with your innate abilities in not letting us increase our finance prospects. Also, the application of decent licensing is a tough one. I have no proposed solutions. I am only able to identify a few of the core problems going on in enterprise today. I wish that we all would stop fighting over how licensing is rolled out or engaged when using our software. We need a GPL v4.0 that is not inherently socialist in the deliverable sense. I do not enjoy writing this, but capitalism is not going away anytime in the next 100-200 years. A rebranded or hybrid GPL would be considered in and of itself not derivative directly from the old GPL however it could use the best parts of the GPL. ⬅️ Licensing is a really sore point with the whole world right now. Bill Gates and Paul Allen basically started a little fiefdom in that one area of deliverable software where the software functions on its own as its own entity. It seems that nobody agrees on what a true license and revenue model is, much less how software and chip architecture performs at the most basic level or fundamental levels. That's incredibly sad if you take the time to reason out all of what is going wrong today in business culture. Measure cost from the source of the genuine article. That's what I have always personally held to be true. Finally I'm not here to change the world or even save it. Everyone is facing their own reality and dealing with the sometimes petty grievances of their peers at work right now. A lot of our white, male co-workers voted for the Orange Idiot thinking that this would help the nation. To me it seems that regardless of political party or what leadership does in business that nobody actually helps — anymore. We are only perpetually surviving and existing with this fallen bridge that is still somehow upright and mostly visible called the American economy. This is it: we are literally on our own. Once again — we do not have real leaders within the world of software. In this world, there are only doers and thinkers or theorists (such as me). All of the bad situations taking place in our society which President Trump engenders: being those rich playboys and all of dem gone to Babylon Queendom ... I and I strong. Nuh go deh — as all the Jamaican and other Dreadlocks have frequently sung in their righteous songs about love and speaking truth to power.
