I bought a Lenovo from Leah at coreboot/Libreboot in the U.K. This machine has Libreboot installed in place of the machine’s UEFI/BIOS. Anybody know why this error comes up in #FreeBSD 15 and how to get around it without reinstalling the Lenovo laptop’s stock UEFI rom file back in place and ridding myself of Libreboot? Leah Rowe (@libreleah@mas.to) refuses to answer my emails about this. I talked with them on the phone. Leah is yet another rather pedantic coder maintaining Libreboot… /1

/2 I was pretty clear in my emails to Leah that I needed possession of that rom stock file. I asked Leah Rowe if they kept the original UEFI rom stock files as back ups. I received no answer. Maybe Leah has an issue with me being American? Their profile suggests they are an activist. There are wordings/tags such as indicating they’re pro-Palestine. Hey Leah, if you’re somehow reading this I’m not a registered Republican. So, it stands to reason I didn’t vote for Donald Trump either time. I don’t know what your problem with me is. I spent decent money for your customer hardware… I’ve tried to get around this constraint during boot-up. I think FreeBSD is looking for something that’s not present. Any #freebsd gurus or experts know how to bypass this restriction on modern laptops without using UEFI?
