My partner said she would never move north, even for my safety. So I planned to move on my own eventually. Now she’s applied to some dream job in a conservative northern state. Called her out via text as I found out via social media.

There was a big PlayStation network outage yesterday, leaving players unable to launch digital games. This highlights another issue with digital games just weeks after Sony announced its all digital future. https://www.ign.com/articles/sonys-nightmare-month-gets-worse-as-playstation-network-goes-down-leaving-fans-unable-to-play-digital-games-just-weeks-after-killing-disc-controversy-erupted

Although a large majority of gsmes sold on PlayStation 5 are digital, like 90 some %, almost 3/4’s of PlayStation 5 owners in the US paid extra for the console with the disc drive. Also, some people that have bought digital only will have bought the separate disc drive. So players still want the option to play physical games. https://www.thegamer.com/disc-drive-ps5-more-popular-digital-only-console/

EA head of advertising essentially says games should prepare in-game ads ahead of time and how that would benefit the industry. In-game ads? Seriously? Claims of not breaking immersion with the ads seems rather unlikely. How are you going to fit an ad into my game that takes places hundreds of years ago? Do you think in-game ads are inevitable? They definitely shouldn’t be in an $80 game. I spend that much and you want to advertise at me? https://tech4gamers.com/planning-for-ads-during-devel...

My partner when she understood that I got a steelbook from GameStop: You went all that way for a box? It is an important box thank you very much. (It was about 30 miles/48 km and a 45 minute drive each way and I was stuck in the store half an hour or so).

Latest numbers show more like 75% of staff at Id software was laid off by Xbox rather than the initial 50% estimated. Id software is responsible for Doom and Quake and has a Doom Dark Ages dlc coming out soon. Can the studio even keep going at 25% capacity? Concerned about the future of Doom, which I’ve played since elementary school. https://www.thegamer.com/id-software-layoffs-xbox/

Sony updated its terms of use sometime earlier this year, I think. This section just really came to light now with the announcement of Sony going full digital. Sony can close your account permanently, irreversibly if you haven’t logged in for 36 months. They must try to contact you first but if no response then they can close everything and you will permanently lose access to all your digital games. Is this a likely thing for a gamer to do? No, but it is possible. Say you got locked up for a pe...

Cyberpunk 2077 had sold 40 million copies, outpacing Witcher 3 sales by 10 million copies in the same time frame. After its terrible release I never picked up my ore-order and never even picked up the game until the Switch 2 release where I picked it up since it was a release title. I did enjoy the game but still leaves a bad taste after the botched release. https://tech4gamers.com/cyberpunk-2077-40-million-copies/

Per the Illinois Lt Governor. New trans positive laws in Illinois include: 1. Removing testosterone from its list of controlled substances (hb 4834). 2. Enshrines self selection process for gender markers on State IDs & drivers licenses. (Hb 5095). 3. Requires insurance companies to cover up to six months of prescribed hormone therapy. (Hb 5492). Go Illinois. Makes me more committed to move there!

I see plenty of posts about drinking water in the extreme heat people are experiencing. Often water is not enough if you’re in the heat and sweating, you need to replenish electrolytes. So sports beverages. Pickles and pickle juice are great too. You still need water, not just the sports drinks, but not just water often times.

The enemy in feminism is the patriarchy and toxic masculinity. Not men. Read that again. Men also suffer under patriarchy and plenty of women reinforce toxic masculinity in men. Hating men is not in fact part of feminism.

Sad my small dick post didn't take off like my other trans masc post. Some people just can’t let go of the small dick comments. It’s harmful for all men but is also transphobic. We should stop degrading people based on physical attributes.

Don’t say: Men suck Men are evil Testosterone is evil We need to feminize men Joke about feminizing men Infer men are irreparably bad Do: Acknowledge there is nothing inherently wrong with being a man. Encourage men to hold each other accountable. Push for men to do better and be better. From your local trans man

If you’re a trans masc or trans man or anyone actually and ever have questions about top surgery (I either had per-areolar or key hole), hysterectomy, meta (I had everything done, urethral lengthening, scrotum created but never implants as I went to phallo), or phallo (had everything done, urethral lengthening, scrotum, had a stricture and fistulas, waiting to have rod implant and testicular implants) feel free to ask or direct people to me. I like talking about them. Anyways I figure it’s alm...

Warning: this is me as a trans masc and I say nothing about trans fems experience and am not saying they were socialized male If not “socialized female” what is a good term to say that you were interacted with, raised as, seen as a female through your formative years. Now I never met gender expectations and rejected gender norms. Yet being seen as a female impacted and impacts me. Being met with misogyny all those years impacted and impacts me. Being cat called and having to be careful at nig...

Voicemail transcript has my name as “Milenio” today. Kinda sounds cool actually. Still prefer my real name. People didn't understand why I didn’t just go with “Mel” as that’s what I’ve always gone by and still go by but I wanted a full name. Plus my name is just cool. Even though I’ve had people ask me if it’s made up because it’s apparently not a common name. Even if I had made it up, theres nothing wrong with that. My name is just”Melezio” by the way. I just add the “h” for my gam...

You know, since getting a dick and being able to stand to pee I now see videos pushed to me telling you to sit to pee. That standing to pee is bad for bladder health. Not happening. Though I did learn you’re not supposed to push to pee. That was news to me. That I can work on.

A Texas children’s hospital is being forced to open and fun a detransition clinic as part of a settlement agreement. They maintain they broke no laws but basically got sick of fighting in court. Which is a loss for trans people. Opening such a clinic bolsters claims that any significant percent of people detransition and that transitioning is harmful. Note, about 1-3% of people that transition detransition. This holds true in youth. Different reports Lin it but all very low and well below the...

The poor 42 lb/19 kg dog is being blocked by the 8 lb/3.6 kg cat. Rosie wants to come see me but the cat is laying in the walkway and gave her a warning meow, meaning I’ll smack you if you pass. So now poor Rosie is sulking in her crate.

@joandaro yea there are means to get it without parents knowledge, so there is the possibility a kid transitions without their parents permission. Ultimately though it is torture to unwillingly detransition someone as was said. I don’t see how a doctor who must swear to do no harm could forcefully detransition a child against their will and not break that oath though, or sleep at night. I dunno. It’s just bad. If a place has to have one yea, at least it’s a legitimate hospital but nothing g...

So many famous people in speaking on their support of trans people will say “trans women are women.” That’s great but…couldn’t you be inclusive of all trans and non-binary people? Not just show support of one group? People will respond well it’s trans women being publicly attacked. Trans women are not the only group having their identities questioned, it’s just the easy picking rage bait. Terfs and phobes have plenty to say about the rest of us and do say it it just doesn’t make the headlines...

@joandaro nah. I get where you’re coming from and I understand why you use ai. As I say, different circumstances. Which is why I don’t say much on ai, partly to understanding your perspective. It’s just these people had no say in this facility being placed near them. It is actively harming them, their environment, and their health. These are very real people being impacted by an unregulated system. Just something to think about. Ultimately yes, we just really need regulation. Unfortunately I...

Today I got some stuff accomplished. Returned the hub for the old internet. Went to the bank to transfer money from my card to my bank account so I could pay the mortgage. Paid the mortgage. Then I took a nap and now I’m working. Glad I got the hub turned in. It’s a $200 charge if not returned within a month and my adhd self could have ended up with that charge.

I leave trans fems to discuss their thoughts on the whole socialized male thing and have learned a lot but don’t argue against the whole socialized a gender situation. I was very much socialized female and it still affects me a decade into my transition. I don’t know a trans masc that denies being female socialized.
