@OWGF@mastodon.world wider bike lanes, less cars, greener spaces ... at least Paris is living up to the Paris agreement.

@OWGF@mastodon.world It’s the exact opposite of what’’s recently been done to the White House rose garden.

@OWGF@mastodon.world In a big city near me (not nearly so old as Paris), there used to be what they called a Rose Garden next to one of the important public buildings. It was recently paved over with what look like marble blocks. So, going the opposite direction. I like the Paris direction on this better.

@OWGF@mastodon.world brilliant....smart and beautiful. Ashamed of America terrorists in the WH, paved over the White House Rose Garden and it now looks like a cheap boardwalk restaurant.....classless.

@OWGF@mastodon.world I like Melbourne’s Fed Square, but the lack of greenery is problematic. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101746/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk

@OWGF@mastodon.world Very nice! But... it's now impossible to protest behind the city hall. Well done! Très joli ! Mais... il est maintenant devenu impossible de manifester devant la mairie. Bien joué !

@OWGF@mastodon.world Quite a beautiful transformation, but looks like it is only the sections on the sides, not the entire Hotel de Ville forecourt. The center section is still open space for gatherings. Hopefully no one is losing their head over this.

@OWGF@mastodon.world thinking about all the people who will visit, think it’s wonderful and then go home and vote against pedestrianisation, bike lanes and greening their own city/town

@OWGF@mastodon.world I love that, although I do have some things to say. It's not directly in the earth, sadly, which is environmentally better. Also, I think the trees are too old to be planted, they might die in the next years. But that's still way better than before ^^
