  People like this need to be found and held accountable. I am very wary of giving money to anything other than a mainstream charity (but am fussy then too), because of worries about scams like this. It’s so wrong, because the people who genuinely need help aren’t getting it, & it causes distrust & suspicion of the people who need help most. But not of pretty white girls.   Today Oldest & I drove over to Barwon Park Mansion, a National Trust property on the other side of Geelong near Winchelsea. (The names “Geelong” & “Barwon” are place names from the local Wadawurrung people.) It’s a bluestone mansion, decorated at the front by ornate ironwork. Finished in 1871, it’s one of few grand homes of that time anywhere to not have undergone any significant renovations. The first floor was in very poor repair when the National Trust took over the property...

  I asked a friend to send me photos of flowers, but she also set me this, so… I’m using some paper I bought a couple weeks ago, in a very busy art supplies shop where I just grabbed it & got out, & it’s not very good at all…, but I’m still pretty happy with this, especially the apple.   Argh… When a friend of mine assumed the main responsibility of caring for her aged parents, I became uncomfortably aware of the fact that I wasn’t having to perform this role.   I forgot to fast for my blood test on Saturday, so am doing it today at a doctor’s surgery with a pathology nurse. I haven’t been here before & was pleasantly surprised to see masks being worn by everyone… except the ambos taking a patient to hospital. 🤯 Only blueys (kn95 for me), & I can’t see any HEPA filters, but still at least an acknowledgment that mitigation matters.,
