My employer's campaign to _prevent me from #working_ continues. Our owning overlords changed over a year ago and our new corporate IT function.... is draconian. First our Windows PCs were reimaged with a restrictive corporate W11 image. Could still get stuff done because we had access controlled "dev" accounts. Just polled my software team: without googling or asking, have you heard of #copyfail ? if so, do you know what it is sufficiently to explain it to a colleague? Not a single hand. We make embedded #linux devices. ( yes, ours are affected.) Call me old fashioned, but when I was a #developer I _kept tabs on shit_. I can&#39;t tell much difference visually between the two, but on my PC I&#39;m CPU (not GPU) bound to about 40 fps, which I can live with. The fact arc runs as well as it does on an ancient PC is testiment to how much effort the devs put into smooth gameplay. All of the OTHER _gameplay_ glitches however.... Still an excellent gam...

Filed our #incometax es in #Canada yesterday. While #Intuit is an evil corp, #turbotax does make things amazingly simple - answers everything same as last year assuming nothing has changed, imports all your T4 and T3 and other forms from #CRA &#39;s website automatically, then #netfiles your return. So its &quot;yes, they&#39;re evil and its a grift, but the product still _works_ and saves me time.&quot; I just wish we were like #Denmark and #Sweden where the government just fil...
