@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot Well then, what was that stupid shit about we don't get an #IndyRef2 without an SNP-only majority for? He has personally, deliberately, sabotaged our chances of another indyref, and now he's saying it's urgent? It is urgent, yes. But the SNP need to get out of the fucking way and let the #YesMovement get on with it, because we won't play stupid partisan games.

@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot You definitely need independence! You're my retirement plan!

@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot @javitel@mastodon.online I don’t understand the draw to him. I’m sure the feeling is mutual to the US and Trump but all Farage seems to do is make terrible choices.

@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot Yes and no. Irrespectively of what this Brit Nazi becomes or not: Scotland indeed needs independence. The sooner the better. #Scotland

@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot You had the chance before but bizarrely voted against it. In contrast we had a revolution, 18 leaders were executed and a civil war and we still became independent in 1948

@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot The thing that is likely to move the dial for me on IndyRef v3.0 (remember the 70s) is whether or not Starmer bends the knee to the GAFAM cartel over the wonky "AI" tech and the nascent IP land grab, which the Lords already pushed back on with their report in March re: CDPA Act 1988. I'm incorporated in England but IoD Scotland's Manifesto was refreshingly "AI" free and was just riffing about tax, infra and skill base again. That cognition itself is being compromised is the issue.

@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot Probably could just skip the last part and have independence, don't really need the assumption he will be the next PM out there.
