@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot You had the chance before but bizarrely voted against it. In contrast we had a revolution, 18 leaders were executed and a civil war and we still became independent in 1948

@humanhorseshoes@mastodon.world That is very true and a bit sad. Even though I can point to some research from Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Essex Universities which, confirmed that a majority of Scots born in people voted for independence, while voters born elsewhere in the UK who voted in our referendum were key to the victory of the "No" side. This doesn't take away my sadness.
