@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot The thing that is likely to move the dial for me on IndyRef v3.0 (remember the 70s) is whether or not Starmer bends the knee to the GAFAM cartel over the wonky "AI" tech and the nascent IP land grab, which the Lords already pushed back on with their report in March re: CDPA Act 1988. I'm incorporated in England but IoD Scotland's Manifesto was refreshingly "AI" free and was just riffing about tax, infra and skill base again. That cognition itself is being compromised is the issue.

@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot Also I am locked out of remote EU cybersecurity opportunities because of Brexit. There was similar US-nationalist retrenchment going on when I was remotely consulting on a security-sensitive project for a US private venture who were reselling to the FBI and others in the 00s. The intermediate contractor wanted to keep me on, but as I did not and do not have US citizenship, I was gently shown the door. I did hold a J-1 R&D visa in 2005 but that means nothing for security clearance.
