Artists, I am on my hands and knees begging you: sign. your. artwork. Yes I know some weirdos out there will crop it off, but nothing sucks worse than having saved a picture real quick and then coming back to it and having no idea who the artist was. I&#39;ve got tons of pics I&#39;ve been trying to slowly tag, but most reverse image search services are janky at best. Just a lil sig is all I need!

@lich_silvae@masto.fediverse.games Another idea would be putting your name/copyright in the metadata of the image before uploading, but signatures are probably more reliable (I don't know which platforms would remove metadata)

@lich_silvae@masto.fediverse.games My mom insisted on me signing every single thing out of my hands since I can remember. I just had to bug my wife to put her scribble on the back of a couple things I created using her images. Every job I've ever had has even had my siggy left behind in corners. 🤪

@lich_silvae@masto.fediverse.games I will have to keep that in mind. Maybe I will see if I can find a good way to make "Signatures" for my Blender Renders. Though I am not sure if I will include those in any of the wallpapers on Itch.io If people want it on the Wallpaper maybe I will though.

@lich_silvae@masto.fediverse.games I don't do it much (or hide it in the top corner) bc it feels... vain? Like I don't wanna come off like i think i'm somebody, some big-shot that knows their art is good enough 2 get stole. Which is a silly complex to have I realized in typing this out..... But yeah!! Sign ur art!!!!!!!
